England National Parks

Earlier this year National Parks England, alongside DEFRA, launched the ‘Love Your National Parks’ celebration. The initiative welcomes everyone to celebrate all that England’s 10 Parks have to offer and aims to boost the economic value of the Parks from tourism and other economic activity.

As a supporter of the Parks, I am pleased to say that during my photo trips I have at some time visited all of the Parks and I have still only “scratched the surface” of the many activities to take part in whilst exploring the many diverse landscapes. Make sure you visit at least one of the Parks in the near future. I am certain that you won’t be disappointed.

National Parks Tweet a Thon

As part of the celebration on Tuesday 26th November there will be coordinated a Love Your National Parks tweet-a-thon – a day of activity on Twitter to celebrate and raise awareness of the benefits of England’s National Parks

National Parks themes for the day will include:

  • Visiting and learning
  • Doing business
  • Being inspired by
  • Living in
National Parks
New Forest Pony

The event will run from 9 am till 8 pm and I am pleased to say that I have been invited to take part between 7 pm and 8 pm alongside Sarah Kelly Landscape Officer for the New Forest National Parks Authority. The subject of our session will be “Landscape and inspiration in National Parks – have your photos ready to tweet!”

As the title suggests for my part as well as offering to answer all your questions on landscape photography in the Parks I will be sharing some of the images I have captured during my Parks photo trips.

You are more than welcome also to tweet your own images from the National Parks and I will offer a short critique and advice wherever possible. Who knows there may well be surprises as well. To make sure you don’t miss these join us by following #lovenationalparks. Full details of the day’s participants and how you can take part can be found at National Parks England.

I am really looking forward to hearing about all your photography experiences and hope you are able to join us.

You can find more images of the Parks in my Galleries and Print Shop where you can purchase your own prints, canvases and other forms of wall art as well as stock image downloads for commercial and personal use.
